Another news item quoted from Broadway.com.

"Looks like Detroit will join cities like Memphis and Chicago with its own namesake Broadway show. Lisa D'Amour's new play Detroit is heading to Broadway this fall, after a fall 2010 premiere production at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company. No casting, dates or theater have been announced at this time.

Following a suburban couple who welcome their new neighbors over for an afternoon barbecue,Detroit examines the new friendship as it quickly spins out of control. The play's Steppenwolf debut was directed by Austin Pendleton (Three SistersThe Little Foxes) and starred Tony nominees Laurie Metcalf (November) and Kevin Anderson (Death of a Salesman, Come Back Little Sheba), along with Ian Barford (August: Osage County) and Kate Arrington (Happy Now?).

Detroit will mark the Broadway debut for D'Amour, whose other works include The CataractNita and Zita and The Night Sky.
Detroit will be presented on Broadway by Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel and Debbie Bisno in association with Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Recent Broadway transfers from the Chicago company include two plays by Tracy Letts, Superior Donuts and the Tony-winning August: Osage County."
