Colin Quinn Comedy Continues

Colin Quinn: Long Story Short, a Broadway stand-up routine performed by Colin Quinn and directed by Jerry Seinfeld, has extended an extra month.  The show, now playing at the Helen Hayes Theatre, was originally scheduled to close on February 5th and will now play through March 5th.  This is the second extension of the show, which was originally expected to close this Sunday despite low ticket sales.  This past week was the first week when the show brought in more than $200,000 since the show opened on October 22nd.  On the other hand, running costs are probably low because there is only one performer, a small set with minimal tech requirements (this is, after all, just a stand up act), and is playing the smallest (and least expensive to rent) of the Broadway theaters.  This extension is probably the last the show can make because, as previously announced, Rock of Ages will be moving into the Helen Hayes later in March.
