The Sun Will Come Out in 2012

Everyone's favorite red headed orphan is coming back to Broadway in 2012 when Annie will be revived on the occasion of the show's 35th anniversary.  The original production, based on the Little Orphan Annie comic strip series, ran for over 3,000 performances between 1977 and 1983, winning 7 Tony Awards.  The book of the show will reworked and modernized for current audiences.  No casting or theater has been announced.
