Hair Revival to Be Cut Short

The producers of the current revival of the tribal love rock musical Hair have announced that the production will close on June 27th after 29 previews and 519 regular performances.  The press release announcing the closure of the production stated that the production has been a profit machine for months, having recouped its $5,760,000 four months after its March 31st, 2009, run, though the show's sales have weakened lately.  For example, for the week ending June 6th, the show only played to 46.5% of its potential capacity.
