The Olivier Awards

It is not uncommon these days to see a show from the West End to transfer to our shores and to bring that production's stars with it.  But a transfer in the other direction is much less common.  This year has been a unique one in the number of American shows being represented in London, and even more so in the number of winners at this year's Olivier Awards -- the West End equivalent of the Tony Awards.  The transfer of Debbie Allen's all Black production of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof took home the Best Revival award and Spring Awakening took home a number of awards, including Best New Musical!  For full details on this year's winners, check out the article at!
