In an unusual move, the producers of The Scottsboro Boys are asking for a form of Christmas present, even though the show closed last week. They are asking fans (and anyone willing to help out) to commit to buying tickets if the show comes back for a limited run in the spring. The show has already announced that they would like to come back for a limited run in the spring in order to help the show's chances of winning Tony Awards and has begun the process of looking for a space, but they want to make sure that there will be sufficient audience to do so.
